How can we help?

Questions about the research, a figure you want to check, a correction, or your own data — all welcome. A person reads these and a person replies.

Please include the page address and enough detail for us to understand your question. Please do not email medical records, financial account details or other sensitive information.

Charities, carers’ groups, journalists and researchers

Everything in the research hub is free to read, cite, quote and reuse, and you do not need our permission. Things we are glad to do:

  • Send you the sources behind any figure, if the citation on the page is not enough.
  • Cut the data a different way — by nation, age group or region — if we hold what you need.
  • Correct something. If a number is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it and say what changed.
  • Tell us what is missing. If there is a gap in the evidence about the people you support, we would rather hear it than guess.

How this site is paid for

We are a commercial business rather than a charity. Referral fees from our pensions and equity release guides pay for the research and the hosting; the note at the foot of every page sets out exactly how. Nobody who pays us has any say in what the research says.

We cannot give personal advice

We are not financial advisers or health professionals, so we cannot advise on your own pension, home, health or care. For financial questions, an FCA-authorised adviser can help; for health questions, please speak to your GP or another health professional.
